A Professional Bufala Mozzarella Dish For An Unprofessional Cook

It was a cool Monday morning when I decided to do something extraordinary this week. I have always been someone who thrusts cooking meals to my mother or my sisters. But today, I am determined to learn to cook, at least the ones I love eating. Being one of my favorite cheese, I went to look for a tasty Bufala Mozzarella Cheese dish. Here’s what I found:
Twice Grilled Peppers with Buffalo Mozzarella and Caper-Basil Vinaigrette
The ingredients are as follows:
3 red bell peppers
3 yellow bell peppers
3 orange bell peppers
3 tablespoons olive oil
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
3/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper Italian or French bread , thinly sliced and grilled
1 pound Buffala Mozzarella Cheese, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
1. Heat your grill to high. Brush bell peppers with 2 tablespoons of the oil and season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper; grill the peppers until charred on all sides. Set aside for ten minutes on a clean plastic wrap covered bowl. Remove the skin from the peppers, brush them with the remaining oil and season with salt and pepper, and place back on the grill and cook until slightly charred on all sides.
2. Slice peppers into quarters or to fit over bread slices. You can then start putting a slice of mozzarella over each pepper and drizzle with the Caper-Basil Vinaigrette. Finish it by garnishing it with basil leaves and then you can serve it immediately.
For the Caper-Basil Vinaigrette
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup pure olive oil
2 tablespoons capers, drained
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves
1. Whisk together the vinegar, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
2. Whisk the oil slowly till it emulsifies. Put in the basil and capers.
I wasn’t aware that my family were out in the den, waiting for me to finish the dish. When I started tasting the dish, they all went to me to have a bite. They all wanted their own serving, and dad even asked for a second one. I am thankful to the Bufala Mozzarella Cheese because it added more flavor to the dish, making it a success.
