Product review: Trader Joe's gluten-free three cheese pizza – Atlanta Gluten-Free Food

Trader Joe’s recently added a gluten-free cheese pizza to its offerings and it is truly about time, right? The single-serving, thin-crust pizza is topped with three cheeses (provolone, mozzarella, and manchego), roma tomatoes, and basil.
To me, the pizza is much larger than a traditional single-serve pizza, so it is a good value for its .99 price. The cooking instructions include thawing the pizza before cooking it directly on the rack in your oven. The pizza cooks up nicely, but I always put it on broil for a few minutes to get the cheese nice and bubbly.
The crust was nicely seasoned and crunchy without being too crunchy. The pizza cooked evenly, so it wasn’t underdone in the middle, or overdone on the edges. The pizza was loaded with cheese and I liked the flavor combination of the different cheeses. The pizza sauce had a great punch of flavor and it was just the right amount that didn’t make the crust soggy. The only downside was that the cheese slid off of the pizza, which made it very messy to eat.
I would definitely purchase this pizza again, as my daughter and I just loved it.
Thanks to Trader Joe’s for continuing to add gluten-free products to its offerings.
